If an *adult* has a temper tantrum, does that make it OK?

Sigh.

I will delete abusive posts from now on. People are welcome to come here and disagree. They are not welcome to come here and throw a tantrum or make personal attacks.

I deleted a comment that included name-calling and hostile language. The fact that its author doesn't feel that it did illustrates somewhat the difficulty we're having in engaging in conversation.

If you want to post a civil comment, without embedded insults, please do.

Comment moderation is on.

Oh, and since there was a question about this: please feel free to curse if you feel moved to do so.

You need comment moderation. Gives you free reign to say what *you* want on *your* blog. I got an abusive comment last night, too. The woman seemed deranged. You can ban anonymous comments, too.

Yeah - I don't mind disagreement - I mean, you and I disagreed, and we talked about it at some length, and now I feel like we have a friendly relationship, you know? But there are people who clearly are not dropping by because they want to explore the disagreement.

I tried to stop by your blog and it was gone. I *hope* it's just Blogger acting up??? Please don't kill your blog!!! I'm so sorry you're getting hateful comments. Email if you want to talk off-blog.
